Wanderers were thrilled to welcome over 220 representatives of local businesses to celebrate the release of the 2022/23 season fixtures.
In the first of its kind in recent years, the Fixtures Release Business Breakfast was an opportunity for guests to enjoy a key moment in the season at the home of the Wanderers, as well as learn more about the club’s extensive portfolio of hospitality, sponsorship and advertising opportunities for the season ahead.
With club Chairman Sharon Brittan and club Director Michael James in attendance at the University of Bolton Stadium, guests were welcomed into the Platinum Suite to hot breakfast sandwiches and drinks before presentations from Chief Executive Officer Neil Hart and Chief Commercial Officer Mike Pink.
Following the fixtures announcement at 9am, the packed out Suite enjoyed a Q&A with club legend John McGinlay and behind-the-scenes insight from long-time Club Secretary Simon Marland, who retires this summer and who later received a standing ovation for his extraordinary four decades of service to the club.
Neil Hart said: “We were absolutely thrilled to welcome so many guests to the University of Bolton Stadium for our first Business Breakfast in years. There was a real buzz in the room and the excitement for the season ahead - and for the direction the club is headed in - is tangible.
“Sharon, the Board and all club staff would like to thank everyone who came to support our efforts. We are on this journey together and to have the backing of the business community is invaluable. We look forward to working with partners old and new in the coming months.”
The new Wanderers Business Club was also unveiled at the event. A networking club, the seasonal membership offers local businesses:
- Four Business Club meetings per annum
- Guest speakers from the club and its partners
- Food and beverage
- Networking opportunities
Costing £395 per annum, 10% of every membership cost will be contributed to the club’s official charity, Bolton Wanderers in the Community. The next Wanderers Business Club event will be a curry club in October, with special guest Ian Evatt.
