Guest Panel Discuss Football Bill At Latest Business Club Event

Wanderers Business Club

Over 120 people gathered in the Lion of Vienna Suite at the Toughsheet Community Stadium this week for the latest Wanderers Business Club event.

At the top of the agenda was a panel of key speakers from Government, the EFL and the club who were in attendance to discuss the latest developments in the recent landmark Football Governance Bill legislation.

Lucy Frazer MP, Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport was joined by Chairman of the EFL Rick Parry and Wanderers’ CEO Neil Hart.

A cross-section of topics relating to the Bill were discussed by the panel, including financial regulation, the owners and directors test and the importance of fans having a voice at their clubs.

Neil Hart, Chief Executive Officer at Bolton Wanderers said: “We were pleased to be able to facilitate what we hope was an informative and interesting panel discussion for our Wanderers Business Club members.

“We know the importance of this Bill and the impact, in turn, it has on communities – including businesses affiliated closely with football clubs.

“It was great to see such a fantastic turn out once again for the event and we’re delighted to see the Business Club continue to go from strength to strength.

“Our thanks go to the Secretary of State, Lucy Frazer MP, and to Rick Parry for their time and for their continued work to ensure this new legislation becomes law, protecting the game we all love.”
