The Lagan’s Foundation, Birtenshaw and Guide Dogs for the Blind are the club's three chosen local associate charity partners
Bolton Wanderers are delighted to announce its three local associate charity partners for the 2012/13 season.
As part of the revised Charity Policy launched this month, the club have committed to work with one national, one local charity, and three local associate charities.
These partnerships are is in addition to the on-going support offered to the club’s own main charity the Bolton Wanderers Community Trust.
The select three associate charities are as follows:
The Lagan’s Foundation (http://www.lagans.org.uk/) – Organisation that aims to help families with babies and children up to five-years-old who have been diagnosed with cardiac defects and/or feeding difficulties.
Birtenshaw (http://www.birtenshaw.org.uk/) – Dedicated to building a brighter future for children with special needs and enhancing the quality of life experience for each child.
Guide Dogs for the Blind (http://www.guidedogs.org.uk/) – National guide dogs for the blind aim to provide mobility and freedom to thousands of blind and partially sighted people.
Club chaplain Phil Mason, coordinator of the charity committee, said: “It was a very difficult decision to choose our associate charities. There is so much good work going on in Bolton and so many groups that are making a real difference to people lives.
“We feel the three we have chosen each have a great story and are working hard to touch and change people’s lives in so many different ways.”
The club will shortly be announcing their national and local charity partners.
