Tom Eaves and Alex McQuade on target in an entertaining encouter at Stainton Park
A Bolton Wanderers XI team registered their second draw of pre-season on Friday evening, playing out an entertaining 2-2 tie at neighbours Radcliffe Borough.
Tom Eaves, fresh from his spell with first team on the Scotland tour, and Alex McQuade were on target at Stainton Park.
After the home side had struck the crossbar and Eaves had come close for Wanderers, Radcliffe broke the deadlock ten minutes before the break when Chris McDonagh headed in at the far post.
But, in front of a watching Owen Coyle and his backroom team, Eaves did get his goal five minutes after the restart.
The former Oldham man netted his first of pre-season when he swept in from ten yards out with his left foot.
The hosts took the lead for the second time halfway through the second half when McDonagh converted again, this time following a goalmouth scramble.
Wanderers ensured they registered a draw when first year pro Alex McQuade found the net from outside the edge of the area late on.
After a corner had been half cleared, Substitute Sanmi Odelusi was the provider for the centre-half, who powered in a long-range effort from 20 yards out.
