Bolton Wanderers are represented at this year's Northwest Football Awards
Bolton Wanderers have been nominated for several accolades at the forthcoming Northwest Football Awards 2012.The club has been shortlisted in both the Community Initiative of the Year and Community Club of the Year categories.
Bolton Wanderers Community Trust manager Ian Laithwaite said: “It is a great honour to be shortlisted for the regions football awards. Bolton Wanderers’ Community Trust does some fantastic work and has a great team of committed individuals who work tirelessly within the community.
“To be shortlisted amongst some of the region’s biggest clubs is testament to the hard work that has gone on behind the scenes in making Bolton Wanderers one of the leading community organisations in the country.”
Adam Bogdan has also been nominated for the 'Northwest Premier League Player of the Year'.
The Hungarian stopper, who was named Bolton’s Player of the Year at the end of last season, faces competition from Everton’s John Heitinga, Liverpool’s Martin Škrtel, Vincent Kompany of Manchester City, Antonio Valencia of Manchester United and former Blackburn Rovers striker Yakubu.
Meanwhile, Wanderers youngster Andy Kellett has been shortlisted for the 'Rising Star' accolade.
Voting is now open for both of these above awards and Bolton fans can lend their support towards the two players by clicking here to vote.
