Bronze frieze of the iconic 1958 FA Cup image revealed at a special Nat Lofthouse Memorial event on Thursday evening
The first of two bronze image friezes that is to be located alongside the Nat Lofthouse statue was revealed at a special event on Thursday evening.
Chairman Phil Gartside, manager Owen Coyle, first team players Benik Afobe and Mark Davies, a host of former players including Roy Hartle and sculptor Sean Hedges-Quinn were all in attendance.
The event, hosted by club chaplain Phil Mason, culminated in a bronze interpretation of the iconic 1958 FA cup winning celebration revealed to the waiting audience.
It was also confirmed that Dunscar Brewery, who were selling a limited edition Nat Lofthouse gift beer packs, had raised over £10,000 for the Memorial Fund.
