Six first team squad members in attendance at charity fund-raising event
Stuart Holden, Craig Davies, Keith Andrews, Joe Riley, David Wheater and Rob Lainton were all in attendance at the club's recent 188BET poker night held in the Platinum Suite at the Reebok Stadium.
Wanderers fans and players joined together putting their cards on the table for the 188BET charity poker event, raising funds for the club’s charity campaign Hearts and Goals.
Head of Corporate Sales Adrian Blackburn said: “It was a fantastic night, and there was a great turn out from the fans. Everybody was having a laugh and joke and the players really got involved, whether they were good at poker or not!
“The Hearts and Goals campaign is a great charity so it was pleasing to see the event turn out to be such a success.”
Wanderers defender David Wheater added:“ It was all good fun and really competitive. I went out quite early like a lot of the lads but Keith Andrews managed to stay in until quite near the end. We had good fun and it was for a great cause”
Due to the popularity of the charity event at the Reebok, there will be an online poker night to allow those who missed out the chance to play.
The online tournament will commence on Sunday 28 April at 7pm. For more information click here.
