Freedman - Building from the back

Boss looks ahead to the visit of Wolves this weekend

Dougie Freedman insists that clean sheets and defensive organisation will be the key for the rest of Bolton's season.

Freedman’s Whites face Wolverhampton Wanderers tomorrow afternoon as they look for seven straight wins at the Reebok Stadium.

Speaking ahead of the game, the manager said: “As a coach I try to build from the back, I have always done that and we then look to move forward.

"It is important to have the basis of a solid defensive unit and evolve that defensive unit into a transition and from that transition into attack."

Midlands outfit Wolves will be the opposition for Bolton this weekend and the boss is wary of the threat Dean Saunders' side possess after winning their last three games in the npower Championship.

He continued: "We have a good balance right now at the club.

"We broke at the right time on Tuesday night and we put in a strong performance against Huddersfield Town.

"We are not far away from having the type of performance where it is the difference between attack and defence and everything goes in one. Watching the last dozen games we have played, you can see the direction in which the club heading."
