Bolton Wanderers have exciting plans to set up a free school for 16-19-year-olds that will open in September 2014.
The club currently deliver a range of education programmes combining sports coaching with academic studies. Using innovative teaching styles and tutors with backgrounds in elite sport, our courses focus on the link between skills and performance on the pitch, and how to achieve in everyday life and employment.
These programmes have been extremely successful and the plans are to transform the present educational provision at the club into a Free School creating new opportunities to raise standards and to provide new ways to help students enjoy learning and achieve their best.
The simple aim is for exceptional academic achievement, so that students, staff and the community will be proud to be part of the Free School. All qualifications will be linked to sport, utilising the fantastic facilities that are on-site.
The club are currently in the application stage of setting up the school and as part of this process we need your help.
