Striker nets for Shrews on his return to the club
Tom Eaves made the perfect return to New Meadow, scoring Shrewsbury’s second goal in their 3-1 victory against Stevenage on Saturday.
Having rejoined the club on loan last week, the striker found the back of the net seven minutes before half-time to send the Shrews ahead after Zoko had opened the scoring for Stevenage. He was joined on the scoresheet by Adam Reach and Joe Jacobson to lift Shrewsbury to 13th position in the League One standings.
Meanwhile, Keith Andrews and Marvin Sordell were left on the bench during Brighton and Charlton’s respective matches against Bournemouth and Ipswich Town.
Finally, Chris Lester started Chester’s FA Trophy defeat to Barrow AFC with fellow loanee Conor Wilkinson not featuring for the Deva Stadium outfit.
