Spaniard to join Italian side when current contract expires
Fiorentina have confirmed that Marcos Alonso will join the Italian side when his current contract at Wanderers expires.
The Spanish full-back has spent the last three seasons with Wanderers, after signing from Real Madrid in the summer of 2010. He made a total of 46 appearances for Bolton, scoring five goals.
The 22-year-old will now head for pastures new after agreeing to sign for Serie A side Fiorentina, who ended the most recent league campaign in fourth position and as a result qualified for next season’s Europa League.
Bolton Wanderers would like to thank Marcos for his contributions during his time with the club and wish him well for the future.
