Dougie Freedman has claimed the npower Championship Manager of the Month award for April.
Despite narrowly missing out on a play-off berth on the final day of the season, Wanderers’ form towards the end of the campaign was impressive.
Freedman guided the side to four wins, a draw and a solitary loss throughout the month of April and pipped Charlton’s Chris Powell and Brighton boss Gus Poyet to the monthly gong.
The Manager of the Month award is decided by former Charlton Athletic manager Alan Curbishley, Football League chief operating officer Andy Williamson, League Managers Association deputy CEO Olaf Dixon and Katy Thomas, npower partnerships and sponsorships manager.
