In numbers: Season 2012/13

A look back at a number of figures and stats from the recent campaign

After 50 games in all competitions, we look back at the 2012/13 campaign with work already underway ahead of the new season.

The Whites hit the back of the opposition goal 75 times, with the club’s highest win a 4-1 victory over eventual Championship runners up Hull City at the Reebok Stadium.

Winger Chris Eagles finished Bolton’s top goal scorer with 12 goals including three in his last three games.

The Manchester United youth team graduate also finished with the highest number of assists, again 12 in total, with Eagles involved in nearly a third of Bolton’s goals.

Centre half Zat Knight made the most appearances for the club – with the 33-year-old featuring in 47 matches overall.

The highest attendance at the Reebok Stadium was on the final day of the season against neighbours Blackpool with 24,844 watching on from the stands.

Wanderers kept nine clean sheets in the npower Championship in 2012/13 and conceded only six goals at home in the league in 2013.

Still unbeaten at home in the league this year, Freedman’s men went on a memorable eight match winning run at the Reebok Stadium as they propelled up the table to an eventual seventh place finish with 68 points.

The Whites finished second in the table for the amount of shots on target during the course of the season with 316, behind Leicester City who had 325 attempts on target.

Hitting the woodwork on ten occasions, Bolton had 249 attempts which were off target with Eagles again the main threat with 142 chances overall.

Robert Hall was the final player to make his debut for the club earlier this month, with Wanderers using 34 players overall including the likes of Stephen Warnock and Jacob Butterfield.
