Five Bolton players in action for their loan clubs
As part of the loan agreement between Bolton Wanderers and Charlton, striker Marvin Sordell was ineligible for the weekend’s game between the two sides.
Elsewhere in the Championship, Keith Andrews played the full 90 minutes for Brighton & Hove Albion in their 1-1 draw away at Huddersfield. The point nudged the Seagulls into the last play-off spot in the table.
In League One, after recently extending his loan spell Josh Vela played 67 minutes for Notts County in their away defeat at Bristol City. The result leaves County three points adrift of safety.
Craig Davies played 54 minutes in a 1-0 away defeat at Brentford for Preston, who are now consigned to a play-off place come the end of the season.
Tom Eaves was also in League One action for Shrewsbury, playing 61 minutes in a 3-1 home defeat against Crewe. The Greenhous Meadow outfit now need to make up five points in three games to avoid the League One trapdoor.
Finally, Sanmi Odelusi was forced from the field of play after just 31 minutes for MK Dons, as they slipped to a 1-0 defeat at Port Vale.
