Summer recruit offers his thoughts following Wanderers' draw with Macclesfield Town
After completing the full 90 minutes in the Whites’ friendly against Macclesfield on Friday evening, summer recruit Dorian Dervite was pleased with his efforts against the Silkmen.
The centre-half played alongside a youthful backline in the clash, with Cian Bolger, Oscar Threlkeld and Joe Riley also featuring in defence for Wanderers at Moss Rose.
Although ultimately disappointed that the team were unable to record a second pre-season victory against John Askey’s side, the Frenchman was happy with his and the team’s performance.
“It was quite tough as it was a warm day, but it was great to get 90 minutes under my belt - I feel quite fit and I’m already ready to play the next game,” he explained.
“We came back from Sweden after a tough ten days – we’ve been doing triple sessions and everybody is feeling the effects, but it will make sure that we’re in the best shape ahead of the start of the season.”
