American international to undergo scan and US assessment on knee injury
Stuart Holden will undergo a scan on his right knee before heading back the US for an assessment on the resurfacing of last summer's injury.
The American international's progress back to fitness in a specially arranged U21 game against Everton at the Reebok on Monday night ended prematurely.
Holden was forced off in the 23rd minute with some discomfort in his right knee.
And he will now meet up with the surgeon who completed the operation on his right knee in the summer, following an injury sustained whilst playing for the United States during the Gold Cup.
