Four senior players to be released

Zat Knight, Chris Eagles, Tyrone Mears and Jay Lynch to leave; talks ongoing with three others

Bolton Wanderers can announce that out of contract players Zat Knight, Chris Eagles, Tyrone Mears and Jay Lynch will officially leave the club when their contracts expire this summer.

Knight departs having made 191 appearances for the club, scoring four goals.

Eagles scored 19 goals in 106 games whilst Mears featured in 32 games.

Lynch failed to make a senior appearance for the club.

The club would like to thank the players for their efforts whilst with Bolton and wish them the best for their future careers.

Further talks are currently ongoing with Stuart Holden, Andre Moritz and Arran Lee-Barrett.

Academy youngsters Glenn Matthews and Niall Maher have signed contract extensions.
