Bolton Wanderers' players and staff set to thank fans for support after the weekend's game against Birmingham
Bolton Wanderers can confirm that the players and staff will perform a lap of appreciation after the final game of the season against Birmingham City at the Reebok on Saturday.
Lee Clarke’s Birmingham City need to better Doncaster Rovers' result to avoid the Championship trapdoor.
Once the final whistle is blown the players and staff will gather in the tunnel area before re-emerging out onto the playing field to thank the fans for their support this season, providing there is no mass encroachment onto the playing area.
All supporters are reminded of the fact that encroaching the field of play – before, during or after the game – is a criminal offence and will result in arrest and a football banning order.
Due to safety issues players and staff will exit to the dressing rooms if the field of play is encroached by supporters.
The club’s official matchday bus service will be delayed in order to allow for supporters wishing to observe the lap of appreciation. The buses will not leave until 30 minutes after the full time whistle.
