Club joining forces with local retail park to provide for children in need this festive season
Bolton Wanderers have teamed up with Middlebrook Retail Park to support a toy appeal for three of our charities for the year.
All of the charities support children and young people in different ways who miss out at Christmas either because of illness or because of the difficult circumstances they find themselves in.
As a result of this partnership, the club are encouraging people to buy an extra gift and drop it into the collection points situated around Middlebrook so that the club can distribute the toys amongst the charities to make a positive difference to children and young people this Christmas.
We are pleased to announce that Viridor are supplying the collection bins and that Smyths Toys and Argos are providing the drop-off points.
Firstly, the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital is one of our associate charities for the 2014/15 season – an organisation that are caring for some of the most seriously ill children across the Greater Manchester borough.
Fortalice meanwhile provides refuge for families fleeing domestic violence, often having to leave their home at a moment’s notice without any of their belongings, while Winston’s Wish is our local charity of the year which provides support to children who have lost their parents under distressing circumstances, including parents who have served for their country and lost their lives.
