Wanderers' on-loan quartet in league and cup action
As the FA Cup first round got underway this weekend, four of the six Wanderers players currently plying their trade away from Macron Stadium were in action for their respective sides.
In the FA Cup both Oxford United and Plymouth Argyle secured their passage into the second round of the competition.
Starting for Oxford away at Grimsby Town, Joe Riley completed 75 minutes for the U’s as they secured a 3-1 victory, while Andy Kellett played the full 90 minutes as Plymouth claimed a 2-0 win over AFC Fylde.
Georg Iliev was an unused substitute as Carlisle United took an early lead away at League One Peterborough United, only to be knocked out of the completion by a last-minute winner.
Meanwhile, suspension denied Hayden White a Bury debut, having signed for the Shakers loan earlier in the week, as his new temporary side clinched a 3-1 victory Hemel Hempstead Town.
Away from the FA Cup, Alex Baptiste completed the full 90 minutes as Blackburn Rovers came from behind to draw with Brighton & Hove Albion to move within one point of the play-off places.
Elsewhere in the Championship, Keith Andrews was substituted with four minutes left of play as Watford unsuccessfully pushed for a late equaliser away at Ipswich Town.
