First team duo attend a session on Wanderers' popular half term football courses
Matt Mills and academy graduate Tom Walker spent time at the club’s half term football courses on Thursday afternoon.
Held at Wanderers’ Lostock academy base during each school holiday, the courses offer youngsters aged between five and 13 the opportunity to play football and learn new skills with skilled coaches on hand to offer advice.
And in line with the popular scheme, Mills and Walker took time out of their schedules to take questions from the youngsters present as well as participate in a number of small sided games.
Speaking following the event, Mills praised the holiday courses alongside the talent on offer on the day.
“It’s always great to get out and about into the community – it’s important for us as players to do it on a regular basis to represent the club out and about in the town itself,” he said.
“I really enjoyed getting involved in the games and meeting some young Bolton fans too. There was certainly a lot of talent on show too and with any luck, a couple of them may join the ranks at the club and be making the breakthrough in the years to come.”
