Max Clayton sidelined

Frontman set to be out of action for up to four months after rupturing hamstring

Max Clayton is set to be out of action for up to four months after undergoing surgery on a ruptured hamstring.

The frontman was forced from the field of play during Bolton’s 1-1 draw against Brentford at Macron Stadium last week.

He has since been under the close supervision of a London-based specialist and has now undergone surgery.

Neil Lennon said: “It’s a blow for Max and of course for the squad. He’s a great lad and we’ll be with him every step of the way throughout his recovery period.”
