Derik Osede and Jose Manuel Casado visit holiday football courses

Defensive duo pay a visit the club's popular half term courses held at Wanderers' Lostock academy

Summer signings Derik Osede and Jose Manuel Casado spent time at the club’s half term football courses on Thursday afternoon.

Held at Wanderers’ Lostock academy base during each school holiday, the courses offer youngsters aged between five and 12 the opportunity to play football and learn new skills with skilled coaches on hand to offer advice.

And in line with the popular scheme, Derik and Casado took time out of their schedules to meet and greet the participants as well as get involved in a number of small sided games.

“It was great to visit the football courses,” said Derik after the event. “I enjoyed seeing the smiles on the faces of the children.

“When I was small, I loved to play with footballers and we know that it is important to go into the local community and represent the club with events like this.

“I really enjoyed my time here and I look forward to taking part in more visits in the future.”
