Defender comes on as substitute as Pilgrims beat Barnet
Oscar Threlkeld came off the bench to help Plymouth Argyle climb to second in the Sky Bet League Two table after they beat Barnet on Tuesday night.
Introduced in the 73rd minute in place of Rueben Reid, to play as a holding midfielder, the 21-year-old helped Derek Adams' side hold onto their 2-1 lead to clinch victory at Home Park.
The visitors had taken the lead on the half-hour mark through Aaron McLean, however, the Pilgrims fought back in the second half in front of their home fans with Graham Carey levelling the scores in the 53rd minute.
Plymouth then turned the game on its head minutes later as former Wanderer Gregg Wylde crossed for Jake Jervis to score what would prove to be the winner on the hour-mark to clinch all three points.
