Ahead of England's first Euro 2016 warm-up friendly against Turkey on Sunday, bwfc.co.uk looks at the three former Wanderers looking to secure their place in Roy Hodgson's final 23-man squad ahead of this summer's finals tournament in France.
GARY CAHILL (42 caps, 3 goals)

England’s vice-captain behind Wayne Rooney, Gary Cahill will appear at his first European Championships in France this summer after injury previously ruled him out of Euro 2012 having been named in Roy Hodgson’s initial squad.
First breaking into the Three Lions set-up during his successful four-year stint with Wanderers, the centre-back was handed his England a year after his first call-up, while he has gone on to win every major honour at club level since joining Chelsea in January 2012.
Now one of England’s most senior players, Cahill was one of only two outfield players to start all three of the Three Lions’ matches during their disappointing 2014 World Cup campaign, while he is set to captain his country against Turkey with Rooney absent through Manchester United's FA Cup Final commitments.
DANIEL STURRIDGE (17 caps, 5 goals)
International debut: v Sweden (W1-0), 15/11/11
England’s first-choice striker at the 2014 World Cup starting all three group games after starring for Liverpool, an injury-plagued 18 months had since seen Daniel Sturridge slip down the international pecking order behind the likes of Harry Kane and Jamie Vardy.
However, the forward, who spent a prolific half-season loan spell with Wanderers in 2011, has a enjoyed a strong second half of the season with the Reds, scoring in their Europa League Final defeat to Sevilla while averaging better than a goal every other game throughout the campaign.
Now also facing competition from Manchester United starlet Marcus Rashford, Sturridge will be eager to continue his recent form into the summer as he looks to silence his doubters and re-establish himself as one of the Three Lions’ star men.
JACK WILSHERE (29 caps, 2 goals)

Having missed the majority of the 2015/16 season through injury, Jack Wilshere will have it all to prove as he looks to cement his place in Roy Hodgson’s final 23-man squad for Euro 2016.
The Arsenal midfielder has been limited to just one start throughout the campaign having only returned in late-April, with fresh competition emerging in his absence including highly-rated Tottenham Hotspur duo Dele Alli and Eric Dier, as well as newly-crowned Premier League champions Leicester City’s Danny Drinkwater.
First making his name in the Premier League when on loan with Wanderers during the second half of the 2009/10 season, Wilshere will be desperate to prove his fitness in the build-up to this summer’s finals and secure his place on the plane to France.
