Dennis Politic notched a hat-trick as Wanderers' youngsters picked up all three points against the Railwaymen
Wanderers’ Under-18s extended their unbeaten run in the league to three games as they ran out winners away at Crewe Alexandra on Saturday.
Starting brightly in the clash with positive forward passing and runs, Nicky Spooner’s youngsters dominated in possession and were rewarded with the opening goal of the game from Dennis Politic who cut in from the left and struck the ball into the top corner with 15 minutes gone.
Buoyed by the goal, a second arrived soon after as Cameron Moore did well to keep the ball in play before crossing for Politic at the far post.
The hosts then halved the deficit however just before the break and following the restart, put pressure on the Whites as they looked to force an equaliser.
On the counter attack though, Politic completed his hat-trick in the 60th minute of the game when unleashing from the edge of the box.
The Railwaymen did pull another goal back late on to ensure that the final stages of the clash were a little nervy for the Trotters, but a resolute Bolton defence stood firm as Spooner’s men held out for the win.
