Forward eager to return to winning ways as Wanderers take on Bradford City
Jamie Proctor is eager for Wanderers to return to winning ways against his former club, Bradford City, this weekend.
The forward finished last season with the Bantams, and the lead the line for the Whites as their unbeaten start to the Sky Bet League One season came to an end away at Walsall last weekend.
Impressed by the backing from the Bolton faithful during his brief time at Macron Stadium so far, the forward shared his desire to reward the Trotters home crowd this weekend with bwfc.co.uk.
“I’m looking forward to it, it’ll be a great atmosphere at the stadium,” the striker told the club’s website. “Bradford will bring a big support so hopefully it’ll be one of the games of the season.
“When the fans come in their numbers and show that support, all you want to do is come out and give them a performance.
“I’m loving it and have settled in really well. The lads and the fans have been great.
“We’ve got a few lads coming back from injury, so when everyone’s fit the gaffer will have plenty to think about come the weekend.
“We’re both up there at the minute so hopefully we can put on a good performance.”
Proctor continued: “It was extremely disappointing to lose last week to Walsall. Their goalkeeper made some great saves.
“We put the pressure on him and had a lot of possession in and around their box. We created some great chances and it’s shown that he’s got man of the match.
“To not even get a point from the game for them, especially after they went down to ten men is extremely disappointing.
“That’s the worst thing about being a player – the fans going home empty-handed.
“Nobody likes to lose and it’s not great the way we lost the game, but everyone is going to lose at some point over the course of a season.
“It’s about learning from it and how you respond, and we’ve now got a massive game to hopefully bounce back and put it right.”
