Reece Burke and Josh Cullen visit BWCT's Fitter Fans initiative

First team duo Reece Burke and Josh Cullen surprised patrons of Bolton Wanderers Community Trust's Fitter Fans Initiative on Wednesday afternoon.

The on-loan pair made the visit to the weekly scheme held at Macron Stadium inside the club's UK Healthcare Suite after training, with them meeting and greeting fans alongside playing a few rounds of table tennis.

The programme, funded by Morrisons Foundation, has been running since 2014 with a number of supporters having been involved since its pilot.

Targeting over 60 year olds, the free twelve week programme offers the opportunity to take part in light physical activities such as football, table tennis, circuit training and badminton.

The programme also includes workshops on healthy living and well-being, examples been emergency lifesaving skills, importance of exercise and diet and nutrition.

All sessions are held at Macron Stadium in order to engage with supporters of the club and allow for easy access.

The aim of the sessions is to improve general wellbeing, alongside the opportunity to be more active, meet other people, learn how and to lead active lifestyles and how to take a holistic approach to fitness and life.
