Movie-goers in Bolton were joined by a familiar face this week, as skipper Darren Pratley and his 21-month-old daughter, Valentina, went along to one of Vue’s first ever ‘Bring Your Baby’ screenings.
Launched this November, the weekly baby-friendly screenings allow parents and guardians to keep up-to-date with the latest in big screen entertainment with their very small tot in tow*.
Guests can sit back and become fully immersed in the action, reassured that they won’t be judged for their bawling babies.
The midfielder, who has made over 160 appearances for the Trotters since joining in 2011, brought along his daughter, Valentina, to catch new action thriller, Justice League.
Pratley said: “I’m an avid film fan and trying to keep up with all the latest releases has proven quite difficult since the birth of Valentina.
"For me, these screenings are a bit of a god send and I think they’re a really great outlet for parents looking to mix up their daily routines.”
The sessions take place every Thursday morning at 11am during term time and the lights will be up and volume lowered in order to provide a more comfortable atmosphere for our younger guests.
Films that will be shown in the coming weeks include the comedy sequel Daddy’s Home 2 and arguably the most hotly-anticipated film of the year Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
Adam Wren, General Manager at Vue Bolton said: “We noticed that there are a number of parents and guardians that feel unable to visit us with their baby, concerned they may cause disruption to the enjoyment of other people.
“But these Bring Your Baby screenings provide a welcoming atmosphere where they are able to sit back and relax because everyone is in the same boat. They eliminate the risk of judgement and allow them to fully immerse themselves in the magic of big screen entertainment.”
