Wanderers take up option on trio’s contracts

Bolton Wanderers are pleased to confirm that they have taken up options on David Wheater, Mark Beevers and Connor Hall’s respective contracts.

The trio’s current deals were all due to expire at the end of the month but have now been extended by an additional year.

Wheater is the Whites’ longest-serving player after joining the club from Middlesbrough in January 2011, and has made 202 appearances during his seven-and-a-half seasons at Macron Stadium.

Bolton’s Player of the Year in 2016/17, the defender has also scored 17 goals during his time with the Trotters including efforts in their promotion-clinching and survival-securing victories over Peterborough United and Nottingham Forest on the final day of the last two seasons.

Beevers has been a virtual ever-present since joining the club on a free transfer from Millwall in July 2016, making 98 appearances and scoring eight goals.

Meanwhile, Hall enjoyed an impressive first season at the club as he scored 22 goals for David Lee’s Under-23s side as they won Professional Development League National Title, and was handed his Wanderers senior debut in the Emirates FA Cup against Huddersfield Town.
