Parkinson ahead of Coventry City clash

Ahead of tomorrow afternoon's opening home fixture of the 2019/20 Sky Bet League One campaign, Wanderers boss Phil Parkinson spoke to bwfc.co.uk offering an update on injuries in the camp and team selection for the weekend's clash with Coventry City.

Wanderers will be without the services of Josh Earl (ankle) and Connor Hall (ankle) who both had successful operations earlier today.

Following on from last week’s season opening game against Wycombe Wanderers, Phil Parkinson confirmed that he will pick a young team with players from the club’s under 18s and under 23s age groups once again wearing the Wanderers jersey.

He added: “The team tomorrow will be younger than the one we fielded last weekend at Wycombe.''

''It’s been another turbulent couple of days at Bolton Wanderers, as we all know, but the young team we put out will give the Wanderers supporters an opportunity at close hand to see them in action.''

“The atmosphere generated by our fans at Wycombe was terrific and if that can be replicated here at the University of Bolton Stadium it will give the young players a tremendous boost.''

“We cannot thank our fans enough for the patience they have shown the club over these last few months and we look forward to playing in front of them tomorrow.”
