Callum Connolly's first goal for the club earned Wanderers an excellent Sky Bet Championship victory on the road at Birmingham City on Tuesday evening.
And speaking following the final whistle at the St Andrew's Trillion Trophy Stadium, manager Phil Parkinson covered the following points...
On a superb away win...
I'm so pleased with the victory tonight, it was so important that we responded to the display and defeat at the weekend (vs Preston North End), and boy did we do that.
Our performance tonight typified what we have to be, and what we have been for the majority of our games at this level.
We were structured, we were hard-working, we were competitive, and we played some good football off the back of that.
Everybody did their job for the team from minute one, right until the end. That has given us a huge boost and it shows everyone that Bolton Wanderers are alive and kicking.
We've got to build on that performance tonight, and we'll look to do that at the weekend against Norwich.
On his side being good value for the three points...
They've got an array of talent in their squad with the likes of Jota, (Che) Adams and (Lukas) Jutkiewicz.
They scored four at QPR last weekend and pulled them all over the pitch in the first 45 minutes down at Loftus Road.
We knew they would set up in a diamond formation, and I thought we acquited ourselves really well against that shape and against some very good players.
We stuck to our task right up until the referee blew his whistle at the very end.
On the lift the win has given everbody...
We're feeling good, it has given us a lift and we needed that. However, it is just a reminder for us about what it takes to get a result.
Gary (O'Neil) came off at half-time with a tight calf and Marc Wilson's hamstring has tightened up, but we didn't make excuses.
Nobody was bemoaning our bad luck on losing a couple of players and having to put Lowey (Jason Lowe) into a back three - we just kept going, and that is key.
It is important that we don't feel sorry for ourselves, we just roll our sleeves up and get on with it. That is what we did tonight.
On the level of workrate...
There can't be any quarter given and you can't afford to carry any player who isn't prepared to run and work hard for the team.
I was pleased with the goal, because it typified the win really. Callum (Connolly) has shown real determination to get onto the end of a great set-play by Luke Murphy.
When you look at the goal, he's been prepared to throw his head in where it hurts, and showed more determination to get to the ball than his marker.
They are the dividing lines that turn a draw into a win. Obviously Remi's save with a minute to go was outstanding.
That is what goalkeepers are paid to do, but equally when called upon tonight, he has produced a moment of quality.
On Magennis and Donaldson defending from the front...
Those two were great up there tonight. In fairness to Clayton (Donaldson) his all-round performances have been good for us.
The goal on Saturday has given him a boost, but he has led the line terrifically well tonight.
He's a player with a great football intelligence and he's shown that tonight.
I'm pleased with Josh (Magennis) as well because I thought he played well at the weekend, and he's built on that tonight.
He's looking fitter, he's looking stronger and that was a good performance from those two.
On the boost the win gives the squad going into upcoming games...
Like I said, it shows that we're alive and kicking. I think a lot of people after Saturday thought we were dead and buried and couldn't see a way out for us.
We're resilient, we're going to continue to be resilient and we're going to fight right until the very end.
On the next opponents, Norwich City...
We went to Carrow Road and lost to the last kick of the game. We deserved something from that match.
Win, lose or draw, we want to see what we've seen tonight.
If we get that, we'll have a good opportunity to get the points.
They play at Preston tomorrow night, so I'll go and watch that to get a good look at them, and we'll make sure that we're ready come 3pm on Saturday.
