Isgrove Commits To New Deal

Lloyd Isgrove has signed a new two-year contract after starring in Bolton Wanderers’ promotion-winning campaign.

The winger initially signed for the club until the end of last season after arriving at the University of Bolton Stadium in September 2020.

Linking up with his former Swindon Town team-mate Eoin Doyle, the 28 year-old played in 32 league games and scored three goals, including Wanderers’ fourth in their 4-1 victory against Crawley Town on the final day of the season.

Speaking to bwfc.co.uk, the former Southampton and Barnsley wide man said: “I’m delighted and I couldn’t be more excited for the new season to start.

“When I signed for this club I knew it wasn’t where it should be in League Two.

“So, to take this little step in the right direction has been amazing for me.

“I am really looking forward to getting going for next season.”

Manager Ian Evatt added: “Izzy has earned his new deal and I’m delighted for him.

“He’s larger than life as a character and is a big part of the dressing room.

“Towards the end of the season he started to add goals to his game, which was very pleasing.”
