Wanderers take on Sky Bet League Two side Salford City in the First Round of the Carabao Cup, and details for the fixture have now been confirmed.
Played at the University of Bolton Stadium, the clash between two clubs separated by just 15 miles, will take place on Tuesday 9 August with a 7.45pm kick-off.
The two teams last met during the 2020/21 promotion campaign with Ian Evatt's side registering a league double over the Ammies. Coming out on top with a 2-0 win in a clash televised on Sky Sports at the University of Bolton Stadium, Wanderers edged to a 1-0 victory at the Peninsula Stadium in the reverse fixture thanks to a Lloyd Isgrove goal.
