Wanderers will launch their Carabao Cup campaign against Salford City at the University of Bolton Stadium.
The Whites were handed a home tie against the League Two side in round one of the competition, with the fixture set to be played in the week beginning 8 August.
It will be a first cup tie between the two clubs with the only two previous meetings bringing the Whites a League Two double on the way to promotion in 2020/21.
