Wanderers will play Manchester United’s U21s at home in the last-16 of the Papa Johns Trophy.
The tie at the University of Bolton Stadium is scheduled to be played in the week commencing Monday, 12 December.
The exact date of the fixture and ticket details will follow in due course.
Ian Evatt’s men earned their place in the last-16 with a 3-2 win over Barrow AFC on Tuesday night while United’s youngsters won 4-1 on penalties at Wolves’ U21s following a 0-0 draw.
Like Wanderers, United had previously topped their qualifying group.
