Wanderers Launch 2023/24 Macron Home Shirt

Bolton Wanderers has today launched its 2023/24 home kit.

Based on the 1983/84 kit worn by the Whites some 40 years ago, the design was the top-rated choice of three home kit concepts presented to supporters via the ‘Pick Our Kits’ survey back in August 2022.

With pre-order now available, the new kit was designed by Macron in collaboration with in-house staff at Bolton Wanderers and is made entirely from Eco Fabric, a polyester material 100% derived from recycled plastic – meaning 13 x 0.5lt bottles were recycled and used in every shirt.

Showcasing the logo of new Principal Partner, Victorian Plumbing, this modern take on an ‘80s classic features a V-neck with navy and white stripes that are replicated on the cuffs of the sleeves.

The Club’s embroidered crest appears on the left of the chest, over the heart, while the Macron Hero sits to the right. ‘Wanderers’ is printed in navy on the nape of the neck above the logo of new Back of Shirt sponsor, Arbworks. A customised tape also runs around the inside hem of the bottom of the shirt, repeating the famous words, ‘The One and Only Wanderers’.

The kit is completed with navy shorts that again reference the retro design of the original kit with white stripes running down the sides. The version worn by the players will bear the logo of Back of Shorts sponsor Utilita (please note the retail shorts do not include Utilita’s logo), and white socks are finished with a blue stripe around the top.

Neil Hart, Chief Executive Officer at Bolton Wanderers said: “We are thrilled to introduce this season’s kit, as chosen by Wanderers supporters via the Pick Our Kits survey last season.

“The response was phenomenal, with over 6,000 unique raters of the kit concepts on offer.

“This 80s retro design was the clear favourite for the home kit, so we hope our fellow Wanderers love the look and enjoy wearing the shirt this coming season.

“We’d like to thank the Bolton Wanderers Supporters’ Trust for presenting the fantastic idea to us, to Social Asking for helping us bring the survey to life and to every fan that took the time to take part. Watch this space – Pick Our Kits 2024/25 will be back later this summer!

“Our thanks also go to our new kit partners who have joined the Wanderers family this season. Our Principal Partner Victorian Plumbing, Back of Shirt sponsor Arbworks and Back of Short sponsor Utilita. I can also confirm with a long-term principal partnership in place with Victorian Plumbing, fans can expect to see the kit launching much earlier in the coming seasons.

“And given the unprecedented demand last season, we have ordered 4,000 more kits across all ranges to ensure we are fully stocked for the campaign ahead.

“But for now, we still have the 2023/24 away kit to launch – and we can’t wait to reveal which choice came out on top next week.”

The 2023/24 home kit is available to pre-order online here, with stock delivered from early July.

The kit will be available to purchase in store from 9am, Wednesday 5th July.
