Bolton Wanderers’ Annual Service of Remembrance will take place at the University of Bolton Stadium at 6:30pm on Monday 15th May.
The service, led by Club Chaplain Phil Mason, will commence pitch side where a wreath will be laid and all the names of loved ones to be remembered from previous years will be displayed on the big screen. The service will then continue in the Platinum Suite.
During the service in the Suite, the names of loved ones that have been inscribed in the Book of Remembrance or engraved on a memorial stone during the past three years will also be read out.
Within the service, people will be invited to come forward and light candles in memory of their loved ones.
As the club celebrates the 100th anniversary of Wanderers’ first FA Cup triumph in the ‘White Horse Final’ at Wembley in 1923, the theme of the service will be “And Did Those Feet” - based upon a play that tells the story of two Bolton families in the build up to the Final.
Attendees will also be invited to come forward and light candles in memory of their loved ones.
Light refreshments will be served following the service, as well as the Papa Johns Trophy being on display, with the Books of Remembrance available for you to look up the name of your loved one.
Entry to the event is free, with no tickets required. Stewards will be on hand to help direct attendees to the correct place to enter the University of Bolton Stadium, where the service will commence pitch side.
