The B Team belatedly gets the chance to launch its defence of the Lancashire FA Senior Cup when they take on Blackburn Rovers tomorrow (Wednesday).
After a walk-over in the last eight of the competition, the young Whites face Rovers in a semi-final at Blackburn’s Brockhall training ground (KO 11am).
The tie gives Andy Taylor’s side the chance to try and end their season on a high with a possible final date to follow against Burnley’s U21s next Wednesday night.
The two also met in last season’s final at Leyland when a winner from Daeshon Lawrence saw Wanderers win the trophy for the first time since 1991.

Meanwhile, the Youth Team beat Oldham Athletic 1-0 this afternoon (Tuesday) in their penultimate game in the EFL Youth Alliance thanks to a second-half Denver Clement goal .
