Goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu is your Kia Player of the Month for September.
Bazunu topped the fans’ poll with 40 per cent of the vote to finish ahead of winger Thierry Gale and full-back Max Conway and take the monthly prize for the first time as a Wanderers’ player.
The 24-year-old – who joined the Whites from Southampton at the end of August – followed up his debut for the club in a defeat to West Ham United with two big performances to help Steven Schumacher’s men secure back-to-back Championship wins ahead of the international break.
Bazunu’s outstanding display in keeping a clean sheet against Cardiff City to help set up a 1-0 victory over the Bluebirds was a particularly memorable one as the Republic of Ireland international made his mark.
“I’m honoured and delighted to be named Player of the Month by the fans,” said Bazunu, who follows August winner Chris Forino in picking up the prize. “I’ve really enjoyed my start to life at Bolton and I’m excited to get back out there next week.”
Wanderers return to action against Stoke City – where Bazunu finished last season on loan – at the Toughsheet Community Stadium on Saturday, 10th October. To secure your ticket for that fixture and Wanderers’ two other big home games in October, please click HERE
