It’s a busy day for the Wanderers’ Academy as the U17s go for cup glory and the B Team completes its home fixtures in the Central League.
The B Team gets things under way this afternoon (Tuesday) with a visit from Chesterfield for a 1pm KO at Lostock in a behind-closed-doors fixture.
First-team boss Steven Schumacher confirmed that John McAtee is set for a run-out in Andy Taylor’s side to keep his match fitness ticking over as he completes the final game of a three-match ban at first-team level, ruling the forward out of tonight’s League One clash with Stevenage.
Chesterfield’s first team is also in action tonight as they chase a play-off place in League Two, meaning a likely youthful line-up for the Spireites as they seek a first league point in their final game.
Wanderers could climb up to third in the table ahead of their last league game at Derby County next Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the U17s head to London to take on Brentford in the final of the Professional Development League Shield.
The Whites – who won their semi-final against AFC Wimbledon in the capital – face the Bees at their Wheatsheaf Park academy home (KO 5.30pm).
Up-dates and results from both games will be available on Wanderers’ official Academy X account @BWFCBandAcademy
