Bolton Wanderers Chairman, Sharon Brittan, was presented with the Strategic Impact Award at the Employer's Excellence Awards on Thursday evening. The honour, awarded at a ceremony attended by over 400 business leaders at the Hilton Hotel in Manchester, recognises the club's profound commitment to its employees and the wider Bolton community.

The Employer's Excellence Awards is an annual event celebrating Britain's most exceptional employers and pioneers in workplace excellence. The ceremony was hosted by Bolton’s very own, and Wanderers fan, Vernon Kay, who presented Sharon with the first award of the evening.

The Strategic Impact Award is designated for leaders who demonstrate a long-term commitment to aligning an organisation's people and culture with its core mission. It acknowledges the successful implementation of a sustainable, values-driven strategy that yields positive outcomes for employees and the community.

Upon receiving the award, Sharon directed the praise to the club's staff and the Bolton community.

She said: "To receive this is incredibly humbling, but this award belongs to every single person who works for this football club and to the community we are so proud to be a part of. Our journey has always been about more than just football; it is about rebuilding an institution that this town can believe in.

“Our strategy is our people. They are the heart of this club and their dedication is what makes everything possible. Winning our award highlights beautifully what we have all achieved together. This is a magical moment for our whole Wanderers family and for the town of Bolton."
