BWDA Donation Contributes To Stadium Digital Upgrade

BWDA

A donation from the Bolton Wanderers Development Association (BWDA) played a key part in the successful installation of the club’s new state-of-art in-stadia LEDs and big screens.

Utilising funds made available through the BWFC Lotteries scheme, the aim of the Bolton Wanderers Development Association is to fund projects that would not be possible without the support of our members that add to and improve facilities at the home of the Whites, for the benefit of the club and fans.

The implementation of the technology has transformed the Toughsheet Community Stadium into one of the most digitally advanced in the EFL, creating a dynamic and engaging experience for supporters on a matchday.

The donation from the BWDA allowed for essential electrical works and data connections to be integrated into the LEDs and screens to ensure they worked successfully and efficiently from installation.

Phil Mason, Chief Operating Officer at Bolton Wanderers said: “The generous donation from the BWDA was critical in ensuring the new digital technology was able to be implemented in a timely and effective way.

“In addition to the upgrades at Lostock Training Ground and the new audio descriptive commentary service on matchday, this is another example of how essential funding  from the BWDA is and how it continues to improve facilities across the board at Bolton Wanderers.”

The electrical works on the stadium LEDs and screen was carried out by ABCA Electrical and long-standing club partner Eventura implemented all data connections.

Wanderers’ supporters can sign up to the BWDA Lotteries scheme for the opportunity to win weekly cash prizes ranging from £25 to £2,000, as well as support the development of the club.
