Bolton Wanderers Chairman Sharon Brittan secured the prestigious Game Changer Award at the inaugural Global Football Industry Awards last night, held at the Landmark Hotel in London.

The award recognises individuals whose bold initiatives disrupt the status quo and reshape football’s future.

Hosted by Premier League legends and former England internationals Peter Crouch and Jamie Carragher, the ceremony focused squarely on leadership off the pitch.

Carragher welcomed Sharon to the stage, describing her as a "powerhouse".

Sharon said: “I feel incredibly humbled to receive this recognition. This award truly belongs to everybody who has played a key and supportive role in our journey here at Bolton. It has always been my intention, and will always remain so, to help make a positive difference to people’s lives through the power of football. Bolton Wanderers is such a unique club, and we will achieve great things together as a family. I am honoured to receive this award on behalf of the club and the people of the town.”
