Charlie Checks In And Out

Young forward Charlie Warren has signed a new deal at Wanderers and joined Accrington Stanley on loan to continue his EFL development.

Warren, who signed for the Whites from non-league outfit Felixstowe and Walton United last summer, has agreed a contract running until June, 2028, with a further 12-month club option.

That secures the longer-term future at the Toughsheet Community Stadium of the 22-year-old, who will now spend a season-long loan with Stanley for the chance of regular first-team football in League Two.

Warren made a handful of senior appearances for Wanderers at the start of last season before moving on loan to Aldershot in December, 2025.

The former Ipswich Town youngster played a big part in helping the Shots secure their National League status, scoring seven times in 22 appearances under former Accrington boss John Coleman, and now steps up a level to test himself with one of the Whites’ North-West neighbours as the Reds seek a first win of the season.
