We’re aware there has been some discussion amongst supporters in recent weeks about the subject of the matchday atmosphere at the Toughsheet Community Stadium and what could be done to elevate the experience ahead of kick-off.
To support this from a club perspective, CEO Neil Hart and members of the club’s senior leadership team have met with the Bolton Wanderers’ Supporters Trust and affiliate supporter groups to look at options to address this – and matchday music was top of the list.
Alongside some changes we’ll be making to our LEDs and big screen graphics and videos in the run up to kick-off, we now want your help choosing the matchday music at the Toughsheet Community Stadium.
To take us through to the end of the 2023/24 season, have your say today on what you’d like to listen to pre-match for our remaining home games.
There are two elements we’d like your input with:
Pre kick-off song
As mentioned, in recent weeks, the club has been in consultation with the Bolton Wanderers’ Supporters Trust about a potential song to be played just ahead of kick-off.
Following feedback from the Trust and their affiliate groups, the club has been presented with a selection of potential songs for supporters to sing along to as Ian Evatt’s men prepare for the starting whistle – and now we’d like you to vote for your favourite.
From The Wanderer to Campione 2000, there are plenty of familiar and well-loved songs in the mix but if you have other suggestions you’d like to throw into the hat, now’s your chance to include those too!

Voting closes midnight, Thursday 11th January so this can be put in place ahead of Saturday's fixture against Cheltenham Town.
Matchday playlist
We are also now opening up the opportunity for you to submit a matchday playlist to be blasted out at the Toughsheet Community Stadium in the lead up to kick-off.
If you’d like to hear your top tunes ringing around our famous pitch, please select ten of your favourite tracks and email the song title and artist of each across to media@bwfc.co.uk.
Ahead of each home game for the remainder of the 2023/24 season, we’ll select our favourite fan playlist and make sure you get all the credit when it comes to game day.
Both the pre kick-off song and our first matchday playlist will be in place for this weekend's home game against Cheltenham Town.
