Bolton Wanderers can today confirm the departure of Sporting Director Chris Markham.
Chris joined the Club during the League Two promotion campaign in February 2021 and oversaw a rebuild of its Recruitment Department and processes as well as playing a key part in the ongoing evolution of its Academy and inception of the B Team in 2022.
During his four years with Bolton Wanderers, Chris contributed to the Club's development. He leaves having overseen important changes within our football operations and we're thankful for his commitment during his tenure.
We wish him well in his future career.
Markham said: “I am very honoured to have been a part of this great, historic club. I am very grateful to have been given this opportunity by the Board at what was a difficult moment for the Club and proud to be leaving it in a better place than when I arrived, ready to push on for the Championship football the fanbase deserves.
“I am especially proud to have played a part in recruiting some of the next generation of Wanderers heroes on the field who have provided some unforgettable moments over the past four years.
“Lastly, I would like to say a huge thank you to all the diligent and hardworking staff I have worked with, especially across the Football Department, but not forgetting the unsung heroes of the team behind the team at the stadium and out in the community. It has been a pleasure to work alongside you all.
“I look forward to my next steps and wish the Club nothing but the best moving forwards.”
