Wanderers will play top-class Dutch opposition as part of their pre-season preparations ahead of the 2026/27 EFL campaign.
The Whites will host NAC Breda at the Toughsheet Community Stadium on Saturday, 1st August (KO 3pm) in the first of their confirmed domestic warm-up matches going into the new season.
NAC are currently fighting to stay in the Eredivisie, having gained promotion back to the Dutch top-flight in 2024.
The former national champions and Dutch Cup winners have spent 19 seasons in the Eredivisie since the turn of the century and have twice qualified for European competition in that time.
They are currently managed by former Stoke City and West Bromwich Albion defender Carl Hoefkens, who was capped 22 times as a player by Belgium, with their squad including ex-Tottenham, Fulham loanee and Blackburn midfielder Lewis Holtby and former West Ham and Swansea frontman Andre Ayew.
Wanderers’ Sporting Director, Fergal Harkin, said: “This is a fantastic home fixture for us to be able to announce first as part of our preparations for next season.
“NAC have a rich history as a highly respected club in Dutch football and will provide the ideal test for us just before the new season starts.
“It should also be an attractive game to watch for our supporters and will form an important part of the pre-season schedule we are currently working on to aid our build-up to the 2026/27 campaign.”
Wanderers are due to kick off their 2026/27 season with the opening round of the Carabao Cup on the weekend of 7-9 August, with the EFL fixtures starting the following weekend 14-16 August.
The Whites last played European opposition in pre-season two years ago when Italian Serie A side Fiorentina drew 1-1 at the Toughsheet Community Stadium.
Ticket information for the game against NAC and further details of Wanderers’ pre-season programme will follow in due course.
