Bolton Wanderers in the Community are delighted to announce that BWFC’s Sporting Director, Fergal Harkin, and BWFC Legend John McGinlay will be joining as special guest speakers for this year’s Charity Dinner, taking place at the Toughsheet Community Stadium on Friday 20th November.

Fergal will be bringing stories from his incredible career with a track record of success here at BWFC, need we mention Wembley 2026, as well as Sporting Director at Standard Liège, Football Partnerships and Pathways Manager at Manchester City, Sales and Sports Marketing at Nike as well as a professional playing career at Leicester, Bohemian FC and Finn Harps.

Pair that with John McGinlay, BWFC Legend bringing stories from his time both on and off the pitch, the BWitC Charity Dinner promises to bring an evening of fascinating stories and unique insights.

Join us for an unforgettable evening for an important cause.

Our annual Charity Dinner brings together local businesses, supporters and the wider Bolton Wanderers family for an evening of networking, celebration and fundraising.

Alongside our special guest speaker, attendees can look forward to a 3-course meal, live music from Radio Edit, auction and raffle and the opportunity to connect with fellow supporters, all while raising vital funds to support our work across Bolton.

Every ticket purchased helps BWitC continue using the power of football to inspire, support and deliver impactful change.

This year, our Charity Dinner looks to raise the vital funds needed to restart our Men’s Mental Health provision here at the stadium. In 2024, men accounted for 3 in every 4 people who died by suicide, with suicide identified as one of the leading causes of death amongst men under 50. 67% of men aged 40-54 and 43% of men aged 40-54 who died by suicide has been in contact with health or partner agencies or primary care services it the three months before their death. (Department of Health & Social Care, 2025)
