The men take on Middlesbrough tonight live on Sky Sports, which leaves Saturday free to back Bolton Wanderers Women as they chase history in the Women’s FA Cup First Round Proper at Harrogate Town.
Tom Cunniff’s side travel to the Marcy Fitness Stadium on Saturday 24 October (5.30pm kick-off). They have won 12 from 12 this season, including nine from nine in the league, and a win would take Bolton further in the competition than ever before.
Tom said: “If we win, we go further in this competition than Bolton ever have. The players are excited, and so am I.”
The Women go into the tie on the back of a 2-0 win at Nantwich Town. Tom called it their toughest test of the season and their best performance so far. Harrogate are new opponents, as the two sides have never met.
“It doesn’t happen often that the men play on a Friday and we play on a Saturday,” Tom added. “I know it’s a bit of a drive, but if you can get to the Marcy Fitness Stadium, we’d love to see you.”
